Sports Monthly Illustrated (formerly Sports Monthly)

"A Day and Mason Publication"

Launched in April 1949 as "The Sports Monthly".

Ran from it's Editorial offices at 1&2 High Street Windsor kown as "WDS Publishers".

This 20 page magazine was on sale at 6d.

Usually at least 6- 8 pages were set aside for pure football content,with boxing and cricket additions.

The numbering is a little awry because of the change to "Ilustrated" in November 1950.

I have no idea when the publication ceased or was swallowed up-so if you have a longer run of the magazine or the missing information I wold appreciate it.
